Home Energy Audits

Potential Heat Leaks in Your Home
A home energy audit is the first step to assess how much energy your home consumes. Through a combination of inspections, testing, and measurement, we evaluate what steps you can take to make your home more energy efficient.
We utilize a variety of techniques to determine the energy efficiency of your home. We often use specialized equipment such as Blower Doors - which measure the extent of leaks in the building envelope - and the Duct Blaster ® - a "calibrated air flow measurement system designed to test and document the airtightness of forced air duct systems."
In addition to projected savings from energy retrofits, we will also document current and potential safety & heath problems and how these 'issues' may be impacted by suggested changes to your home's efficiency.

Solar Assessments
Have you been thinking about taking advantage of State and Federal Tax Credits for a Solar Hot Water or Solar Electric system? Have you been wondering if your home or building lot is a good candidate for one of these systems?
In order to perform properly and to get all of the performance you paid for, solar collectors should be located where there are no obstructions that will shade your collectors. That means shading from trees, other buildings, hills…even your own house!
Our solar assessment will estimate system performance and determine the most efficient location for your solar panels.
Let us help you get the most from your solar investment!
